Healthy can be easy, even when you are busy! One way to make sure that you are fueling yourself with clean foods is with Splendid Spoon. They are subscription based and offer a wide range of smoothies, morning shots, soups and light grain bowls. Their products are designed by dietitians, 100% plant based, GF with no added sugars. I like stocking my fridge with these because there are many days where I have back-to-back meetings and don’t have much time to make lunch.

Although their smoothies are packaged and ready-to-eat, sometimes I like to treat myself in the morning when I have a bit of extra time. I use their smoothies and turn them into smoothie bowls! Depending on what I have in my fridge and pantry, I’ll pick the smoothie that pairs best with what I have on hand.

For my smoothie bowl, I used the Strawberry Goji Smoothie as the base (it’s on the more liquid side, so I poured it into my bowl and let it sit in the freezer for 15 min to set). I like to decorate my smoothie bowl with a mixture of colors and textures - my typical toppings include fresh berries, coconut shavings and chia seeds. After all, a pretty bowl makes it that much more appetizing!

In another post, I’ll share how I turn their simple grain bowls into a hearty one for lunch. I usually have some type of protein in the fridge and will add that to my grain bowl for some extra sustenance!
